Coalition Intercepts 12 Houthi Aerial Threats Targeting Riyadh and Southern Saudi Arabia
The Saudi-led coalition announced the interception and destruction of ten ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and a drone launched by the Houthis toward several areas of Saudi Arabia, marking the latest wave of aerial attacks targeting the Kingdom.
In successive statements, the coalition said its air defenses intercepted and destroyed ten ballistic missiles launched toward southern Saudi Arabia, a cruise missile targeting Khamis Mushait, and a drone over the Riyadh region.
The latest interceptions came shortly after King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh announced changes to its terminal operations on Saturday, October 24, effective Sunday, October 25.
Under the new arrangements, Terminal 1 has been designated for domestic flights, while Terminal 2 will serve international flights operated by Saudi national carriers.
Airport authorities advised passengers with confirmed reservations to contact their airlines to verify their flight status before traveling to the airport.
King Khalid International Airport had been targeted by Houthi missile attacks in recent weeks, while the coalition previously announced the interception of several attacks targeting Saudi airports and other civilian facilities.
The coalition's latest statements did not provide details of any casualties or material damage resulting from the intercepted attacks.
