The Yemeni national junior football team won the 10th West Asian Federation Junior Championship on Wednesday, beating the Saudi team (3-2). The winning of the Yemeni team prompted massive popular celebrations across Yemen and sparked euphoria among millions of Yemenis.

In different Yemeni cities, civilians set off fireworks, and some used live ammunition. They fired in the sky of the capital, Sanaa, to celebrate the victory of the Yemeni junior football team.

In south Yemen, hundreds of people gathered in different streets and cafés to watch the football match. Once the match ended and the Yemeni team emerged as the winner, football fans set off fireworks to celebrate the winning of the Yemeni team.

Since 2015, the unity of the country of the country has been ruined, and the fragmentation of people has been deepening. However, football has been the only tool that makes Yemen look like a united country.
