Eight Yemeni nationals have been murdered in different American states since the beginning of 2023. Armed robbers committed most of the murder crimes.
Yemeni national Ahmed Alqalfani was the latest victim. He was killed in Alabama State on Wednesday, August 2. The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown.

The rise of these attacks robbed numerous Yemeni families of the joy they experienced throughout their stay in the United States. With the continued murders of Yemeni Americans, a question poses: What are the common reasons for this issue?
According to Yemeni Americans, the murder cases of Yemenis can be attributed to some factors, which are explained as follows:
-Their failure to comply with the instructions of the shops’ owners puts the employee’s life at risk. The employee is not required to confront any armed thief, and they are instructed to stay behind bulletproof glass, and contact the police only. Failing to heed such instructions can expose the employees to danger.
- The perpetrators of these crimes are drug addicts and criminals who cannot get jobs. Their national numbers reveal all the information about them, and employers cannot accept hiring them, which pushes them to resort to theft.
-The recklessness of Yemeni workers in gas stations and shops is another reason. Some workers chase armed thieves, and this causes an increase in the number of victims among them.
-The American authorities in several states permitted the sale of marijuana. So, some Yemeni shop owners began selling like other shops. However, the merchants that monopolize the marijuana trade see them as competitors and consider that an attack on the market they control.
