The Ansar Allah (Houthi) group continues its attacks on Saudi border areas amidst its ongoing military reinforcements and intense presence of forces in Yemen's Saada province, including Shaza and Razih districts, sources told Sheba Intelligence on Friday.
The sources confirmed that military sites belonging to the Yemeni army and the Saudi army in the border areas have been subjected to bombing over the past five days, killing so far four Saudi soldiers.
In Al-Hudaydah, the Houthi group continues its emergency preparations to confront any possible attack by international forces in the Red Sea.
Sources told Sheba Intelligence that the Houthi group is rearranging its military sites and missile launch pads in the city and airport of Al-Hudaydah, particularly in Al-Khatheeb and Bajil areas.
The group also rearranged the naval operations rooms in the ports of Al-Hudaydah, Al-Salif, Al-Luhayah and Kamaran Island and has made comprehensive changes in the centers concerned with launching missiles and guided boats and deployed marine mines in strategic areas.
The group called for popular demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine today, Friday afternoon. Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of the group's political council, said the march's slogan will be "The coalition to protect Israeli ships does not intimidate us".
The U.S. and a number of nations created a new naval force to guard ships transiting the Red Sea, which has seen a spate of Houthi drone and missile attacks, a U.S. official said on Tuesday in Bahrain.
"This is an international challenge that demands collective action," Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a statement. "Therefore, today I am announcing the establishment of Operation Prosperity Guardian, an important new multinational security initiative."
According to Austin, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles and Spain will join the US in the new mission. Some countries will conduct joint patrols while others provide intelligence support in the Gulf of Aden and the southern Red Sea.
Houthi spokesperson Mohammad Abdulsalam said in a statement on X that their attacks aim to support Palestinians as they face Israel's "aggression and siege" in Gaza. He indicated the Houthi operations were not a challenge to another party, warning that any side seeking to expand the conflict "must bear the consequences of its actions."
He added, "The US-formed coalition is to protect Israel and a militarization of the (Red) Sea without any justification, and it won't stop Yemen from continuing its legitimate operations in support of Gaza."
Amidst the Houthi continued attacks on ships in the Red Sea, sources indicated that the strikes will likely target Houthi military commanders, missile and drone launching centers, weapons depots, and training camps in Sanaa, Kamaran Island, Al-Luhaya and Al-Salif of Al-Hudaydah.
