A remarkable military parade by the Yemeni army is scheduled to be broadcast in the coming hours in Marib City on the 61st anniversary of the 26 September Revolution, which overthrew the rule of the Hashemite Imamate in 1962.

Informed sources told Sheba Intelligence that the military parade was organized and recorded Monday non-publicly to avoid any expected human losses from potential Houthi attacks on Marib. High-quality weapons were displayed, including drones and long-range missiles owned by the Yemeni army.

At a time when Marib organizes a massive celebration, marking the fall of Imamate rule in Yemen, the Houthi group in Sanaa and areas under its control punish those who publicly celebrate this day.

The group ignores the 26 September Revolution, which broke out six decades back, and deals with its supporters as enemies. Several videos were posted on social media yesterday, showing Houthi assaults on civilians celebrating the 26 September Revolution.   However, the group promoted its 21 September takeover of Sanaa in 2014 and declared it an official holiday instead of 26 September.
