Yemeni Forces Report 875 New Targeting Operations and 130 Houthi Fighters Neutralised, While Coalition Air Defences Intercept Ballistic and Cruise Missiles Targeting Eastern Saudi Arabia and Riyadh

Yemeni government forces have continued their military campaign under Operation Dawn of Yemen, launched on October 4, as fighting persists across multiple fronts and Houthi missile attacks against Saudi Arabia continue.

The Saudi-led coalition announced that its air defence systems had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, along with a cruise missile targeting the Riyadh region.

The latest interceptions highlight the continuing cross-border missile threat as government forces maintain military pressure on Houthi positions inside Yemen.

According to the latest statement from the Yemeni Armed Forces, government forces conducted 875 targeting operations over the preceding hours, striking Houthi positions, troop concentrations, reinforcements, firing positions and military equipment.

The operations involved fighter aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery support.

Initial battlefield assessments released by the Yemeni military indicated that approximately 130 Houthi fighters and commanders had been neutralised, while 50 military vehicles, pieces of equipment and weapons systems, including missile launchers, were destroyed or disabled.

These figures have not been independently verified.

Fighting Continues in Taiz, Marib and Al-Jawf

In Taiz governorate, government forces, supported by local resistance units, continued repelling Houthi attacks and targeting the group's movements and positions across several operational sectors.

In Marib and Al-Jawf, units from the Emergency Divisions, Nation's Shield Forces and regional military commands, backed by local resistance fighters, maintained pressure on Houthi concentrations and reinforcements.

Military operations also continued along the southern and western fronts, involving the Nation's Shield Forces, Giants Brigades and National Resistance Forces.

The latest developments follow several weeks of reported government advances in parts of Al-Jawf and sustained fighting across Taiz and Marib.

In Al-Jawf, government forces have previously reported capturing strategic positions around Umm Lafifah, Qurun Al-Subayr and Duhaydat Al-Aqir.

Control of elevated terrain along the approaches to Al-Hazm, the governorate's capital, remains strategically significant because of its potential impact on supply routes, military movements and defensive positions.

Cumulative Targeting Operations Exceed 42,000

A review of previously reported military figures indicates that Operation Dawn of Yemen had exceeded 40,127 targeting operations by November 5, with more than 20,408 Houthi fighters and commanders reported neutralised.

Subsequent military statements announced 1,211 additional targeting operations on November 6 and another 875 operations in the latest update.

Based on these figures, the cumulative number of reported targeting operations has reached at least 42,213 since October 4.

The corresponding cumulative figure for Houthi personnel reported neutralised has risen to more than 20,925, based on the previously compiled total and the latest available battlefield assessments.

The figures reflect the sustained intensity of the military campaign, although the number of targeting operations does not necessarily correspond to the number of individual airstrikes or independently confirmed targets destroyed.

The reported personnel losses also remain subject to independent verification, while the military term "neutralised" does not necessarily refer exclusively to fatalities.

Sheba Intelligence previously documented the campaign's expanding scale in its report:

Houthi Missile Escalation Extends Beyond Yemen’s Battlefields

The latest missile interceptions underscore the continuing regional dimension of the conflict, with Houthi forces maintaining the capability to launch ballistic and cruise missiles towards Saudi territory despite sustained military operations against their positions in Yemen.

The coalition reported destroying a ballistic missile heading towards the Eastern Province and a cruise missile directed at the Riyadh region.

The interceptions came amid continued Houthi claims of missile and drone operations against Saudi targets. The results of those claimed attacks have not been independently established.

The simultaneous continuation of ground operations inside Yemen and missile launches towards Saudi Arabia suggests that the confrontation remains geographically extensive, involving both territorial battles and long-range strike capabilities.

For Yemeni government forces, the campaign continues to focus on weakening Houthi military positions, disrupting reinforcements and maintaining pressure across several fronts.

Meanwhile, the persistence of Houthi missile launches demonstrates that the group's long-range strike capabilities remain an important factor in the broader military confrontation, even as government forces report territorial gains and substantial cumulative targeting operations.
