The Ansar Allah (Houthi) group deployed on Saturday military reinforcements in At Tuhayta district to the south of Al-Hudaydah province as part of its military preparation for potential escalation after its missile attacks on Israel and its recent declaration of downing a U.S. drone off the Red Sea, local sources said.

The sources indicated that the reinforcements deployed by the Houthi group were brought from other areas in Al-Hudaydah, where the Houthis have a strong military presence, including the air defense systems.

An intelligence source told Sheba Intelligence on Thursday that the Houthi group obtained the Iranian Khordad-3 Air Defense System six months ago, and it was smuggled to a Red Sea coast, revealing that foreign military experts supervising the Khordad-3 System moved recently between Al-Saleef, Al-Luhayah, and Kamaran Island in Al-Hudaydah.

Yesterday’s deployment of soldiers and military equipment was preceded by the deployment of missiles. Naval missiles have been transported from several areas, particularly from Bajil district of Al-Hudaydah, and have been deployed near the Red Sea coast. This would enable the group to threaten trade routes and international forces in the Red Sea.

While the Houthi group prepares for potential attacks by foreign forces, particularly Israeli and American armies, the group has lately intensified its attacks on pro-government forces in Marib.

Last week, military sources in the Yemeni government told Sheba Intelligence that the Houthi group, with the support of Iranian experts, is planning to launch a major offensive on Marib to take over the most important oil and gas production fields in Safer.

Military experts say that the group will use its missiles fired at Israel as a cover for its internal military movements and transfer weapons in preparation for the return of the war in Yemen.
