Saudi Statement Reinforces Sheba Intelligence Exclusives on IRGC-Houthi Coordination
Coalition forces announced that 11 civilians were injured in Najran following what it described as Houthi terrorist attacks. The development came as a senior Saudi official told Al Hadath that Riyadh had received multiple credible intelligence reports confirming coordination between the Houthis, Iran-backed Iraqi militias and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in preparation for attacks against Saudi Arabia. The official added that the Kingdom would take all necessary measures to confront any aggression.
Approximately one hour before the Najran attack was announced, Sheba Intelligence published an exclusive report revealing that Houthi military planners had designated southern Saudi Arabia among their urgent operational targetsduring a recent planning meeting.
The same Sheba Intelligence report stated that Houthi planners had also included oil facilities in Marib, Aden Airport, government facilities in Taiz and Marib, and several military camps within a broader operational targeting framework.
Days earlier, Sheba Intelligence had published another exclusive identifying the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as the central coordinator of expanding operational cooperation between the Houthis and Iran-backed Iraqi militias. Intelligence sources described joint planning, operational tasking, intelligence sharing and preparations for coordinated attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and strategic interests across the Red Sea.
Sheba Intelligence also reported on a confidential meeting between Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi and senior IRGC commander Abdul Reza Shahlai, describing increased Iranian oversight of Houthi military planning and security arrangements. While the Saudi statement does not independently confirm every operational detail published by Sheba Intelligence, it reinforces the broader assessment that the IRGC has been coordinating activities between the Houthis and Iraqi militias as part of preparations for potential attacks against the Kingdom.
Taken together, the Saudi statement and the Najran attack place Sheba Intelligence’s recent reporting within a broader sequence of developments, with both the operational warning regarding southern Saudi Arabia and the reported IRGC-Iraqi militia coordination preceding subsequent official statements and events.
