Sources: An Imminent Strike to Target Houthi Missile Force

A Yemeni intelligence source expected attacks by the Houthi group against international forces in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The source told Sheba Intelligence, “The Houthis have information about an imminent strike that might be carried out by foreign forces targeting the group’s missile force, and they are preparing to carry out pre-emptive strikes.”

Informed sources previously told Sheba Intelligence that the Houthis moved large missiles into the Al-Jawf province, which borders Saudi Arabia. The Houthi group placed the rockets in areas that suggest their intention to target Gulf facilities. The talk this time revolves around the Houthis’ intention to target the United Arab Emirates.

Al-Bayda Governorate, which overlooks the southern provinces, also witnessed remarkable Houthi military movements, the most important of which was the operation of a special center for drones.

Regarding the Houthis’ threats to target Israel, a source from the group ruled that out for the time being and said, “If the war expands and our forces are targeted, we will respond in more than one place.”

A Yemeni official described the Houthi threats against Israel as propaganda to gain popular support. He told Sheba Intelligence, “The Houthis are keen to justify targeting Yemeni civilian and non-military facilities as targeting American and Israeli interests. They now need popular support and may exploit the escalation in the occupied territories of Palestine to gain the popular support.”

The Yemeni official did not rule out the Houthi attacks on the Saudi border under the pretext of procrastination in implementing the agreements, pointing out that the Houthi group has developed its naval capabilities and moved its arsenal to raised areas, and its missiles could reach strategic sites.
