Yemen’s Houthis Fire Missiles at Israel Amidst Their Preparation to Attack Saudi Border Areas

The Ansar Allah (Houthi) group has recently intensified its military and propaganda activities against Saudi Arabia days after the Houthi attack on the Saudi border areas, including the Al-Dud Mountain, where at least four Saudis were reportedly killed in clashes with Houthi fighters.

On Saturday, Saudi activists on social media platforms reported that Saudi air defenses intercepted a Houthi missile over Tabuk in northwestern Saudi Arabia. So far, no official statement has confirmed the attack.

 Meanwhile, the group has carried out a military maneuver in Sa’ada and threatened to continue targeting Israel and American interests in the region.

Over the past few days, the Houthi group began firing missiles and drones at Israel. Military sources said the group fired two missiles on Saturday, particularly from Nuqm Mountain and Arhab in Sanaa.

The group fired a missile from Dhamar on Friday, though it has avoided launching missiles from there for years as Dhamar and Sanaa  have been dealt with as a depot of weapons and missiles.

Military sources indicated that the Houthi group wanted to fire a large number of missiles, and that compelled it to use the missiles in Dhamar-based depots.

 On Saturday, the Houthis fired three missiles from the Baqim district in Saada, two missiles from the Al-Jar and Abs area in Hajjah, and a missile from Amran, in addition to the missiles launched from Sanaa. However, the missiles did not hit Israel and had not posed a threat to Israeli military or civilian sites because they crashed in the sea or they were intercepted.
