Yemeni Forces Carry Out 1,087 New Strikes Amid Intense Fighting in Taiz
Dawn of Yemen offensive surpasses 32,900 targeting operations, with nearly 18,000 Houthi personnel reportedly neutralised since October 4, according to military figures.
Yemen’s armed forces announced 1,087 new targeting operations under the ongoing Dawn of Yemen offensive, reportedly neutralising approximately 336 Houthi commanders and fighters and destroying or disabling 112 military vehicles, pieces of equipment and heavy weapons.
The operations, conducted using fighter jets, drones, field artillery and rocket launchers, targeted forward command-and-control centres, Houthi concentrations and reinforcements, firing positions, fortifications and supply lines.
In Taiz, government forces and local resistance fighters continued raids and counterattacks against strategically important Houthi positions, supported by concentrated airstrikes targeting Houthi gatherings and reinforcements.
Operations also extended to the Marib, Al-Jawf and Al-Bayda fronts, as well as southern and southwestern battlefronts, where government forces reported thwarting infiltration attempts, disrupting reinforcement movements and restricting the Houthis’ ability to redeploy forces between fronts.
Numerical Background
Adding the latest operations to the cumulative figures documented by Sheba Intelligence in its October 29 report brings the preliminary total since the launch of Dawn of Yemen on October 4 to at least 32,957 targeting operations and more than 17,999 Houthi personnel reportedly neutralised.
These figures are based on official Yemeni military statements and could not be independently verified.
