Yemeni military reports 1,250 new strikes, approximately 700 Houthi fighters neutralized and more than 150 military vehicles destroyed or disabled in 24 hours.

Yemen’s armed forces announced on Thursday that they had carried out more than 1,250 precision targeting operations against Houthi military positions over the past 24 hours, bringing the reported cumulative total under Operation Dawn of Yemen to more than 19,956 strikes since the offensive began in early October.

Military spokesman Colonel Majed al-Nuzaili said preliminary battlefield assessments indicated that approximately 700 Houthi fighters had been neutralized, while more than 150 military vehicles, combat assets and logistical equipment had been destroyed or disabled.

According to the statement, the operations involved fighter aircraft, drones, field artillery, rocket launchers and sniper units.

The strikes targeted frontline defensive positions, fortifications, trenches, fire positions, observation posts, forward command-and-control centers, troop concentrations, reinforcements and supply routes.

Al-Nuzaili said the operations had weakened Houthi defensive formations and offensive capabilities, particularly in Taiz, where government forces continue to engage Houthi units across several fronts.

He added that the military operations targeted what the armed forces described as legitimate military objectives, in accordance with international humanitarian law and precautions intended to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.

Nearly 20,000 Reported Strikes Since October

The latest figures raise the cumulative number of targeting operations reported by Yemen’s armed forces since the launch of Operation Dawn of Yemen to more than 19,956.

Based on military statements compiled by Sheba Intelligence, the cumulative reported toll now stands at approximately 13,127 Houthi fighters neutralized and more than 3,115 military vehicles and pieces of equipment destroyed or disabled.

A previous Sheba Intelligence report published on October 14 documented 18,706 reported targeting operations, approximately 12,427 Houthi fighters neutralized and more than 2,965 military vehicles and assets destroyed or disabled.

The latest operations come amid continued fighting in Taiz, where government forces have concentrated on weakening Houthi defensive positions, disrupting reinforcements and restricting military supply routes.

The Taiz front remains central to the offensive, particularly as government forces seek to consolidate their positions along strategic routes connecting the city with Yemen’s western coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The cumulative figures are based on successive military announcements and may be subject to reporting overlaps or subsequent revisions. They do not include separately announced coalition operations. Sheba Intelligence has not independently verified the reported battlefield losses.
