Fighters from Sanaa, Dhamar and Ibb Deployed to Taiz Frontlines
The Ansar Allah (Houthi) group in Yemen mobilized more military reinforcements toward Taiz province one day after the group deployed forces in At Tuhayta in Al-Hudaydah, reports said on Monday.
The reports indicated the Houthi reinforcements came from Sanaa, Dhamar, and Ibb, heading towards the front lines in Taiz province. The new reinforcements included at least 20 military vehicles carrying several recruits who recently joined the Houthi ranks, and the vehicles were seen in Ibb city, heading towards Taiz.
Over the last few weeks, the group began attracting more fighters, capitalizing on the Yemeni public fury over the Israeli brutal war on the Gaza Strip. Several Yemenis expressed willingness to go to fight in support of Gaza, which Israel has bombed since October 7, leaving over 11,000 dead.
The Houthi group launched a jihad program to attract fighters under the pretext of confronting Israel, residents in Sanaa said told Sheba Intelligence.
The program includes intellectual mobilization, which continues for a month. The suitable persons will be selected for practical training on various weapons types and sent to critical front lines, including the Saudi-Yemen border front. Other fighters will be deployed to Yemen's West Coast to launch attacks in the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandab, and Mocha.
Moreover, some Houthi fighters will be tasked with carrying out attacks on government forces and interests in Aden, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib, Taiz, and Al-Dhalea, according to the sources.
Sheba Intelligence previously revealed that the Houthi group would use its bases in Taiz to disrupt the Bab al-Mandab Strait and target international forces in the Gulf of Aden. The report revealed that the Houthis installed ballistic missile launch pads in the Air Defense Brigade in Al-Amaki of Taiz. The missiles will likely target the West Coast forces in Mocha, 100 km away, and the forces present on Mayun Island, 140 km away, and may lead to the closure of Bab al-Mandab.
